Ethereum developers are working on the next major release Pectra on the blockchain in March 2025, as TechFlow reports, not before the forks for the major upgrades of the Sepolia and Holesky testnets in February.
Developers are testing and implementing a series of changes that should significantly improve several aspects of scalability, security and user convenience of the network.
What the Pectra update adds
- Account abstraction: a feature that will make it much easier to manage and create crypto accounts and wallets.
- Staking limits for Validators are increased from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH, in order to attract more membership in it.
- Deposits and withdrawals that are modified and improved.
- Maintain your Privacy with new additions that will lead you to protect your privacy even more, making the executions even more hidden.
- Scalability: an update that will see a significant increase in the ability to execute transactions, with fewer costs and less waiting time.
The Pectra update is expected to be a very important step towards the evolution of Ethereum, necessary to become much more scalable, secure and convenient for users.
Developers, but also the community, trust that investors and new developers, who will feel attracted by the main changes, will be able to have a very positive influence on the price of ETH and that they will be able to attract new investors and developers, in order to push the creation of new dApps.
After touching $4,000 in December, ETH changed register and from there it was no longer able to keep that important support alive, however bringing it steadily below $3,500 while BTC instead maintains a better proactive march, fighting for some time now and with tenacity to stay above $100k.
