X and all social media are talking about this. According to the BITCOINLFG and cryptonomist.ch, BlackRock (one of the largest investment management firms in the world) has purchased 12.200 BTC.
As often happens, these rumors have sparked a frenzy of speculation within the cryptocurrency community and financial investors.
In fact, if the news turns out to be true, it would represent an unprecedented vote of confidence in the future of Bitcoin by one of the most influential financial institutions in the world.
The only confirmation we have is BlackRock's request for approval of the Spot ETF, the response to which is expected in October.
So for now it is a rumor not confirmed by BlackRock and coming from not very reliable sources, although there is a remote possibility that it is real.
