The cryptocurrency market has seen a strong bullish reaction in recent days, with Bitcoin firmly reclaiming levels above $60k.
The sharp correction at the beginning of the week was quickly absorbed, fueling renewed optimism among investors and rekindling discussions about potential new all-time highs.
Reasons for the rally
Positive contagion from traditional markets is certainly one of the main reasons, with the Nasqad 100 index recording its best daily performance since November 2022.
The strong price recovery has triggered the liquidation of a large volume of short positions on the futures markets, releasing further upward pressure.
Added to this are some favorable macroeconomic scenarios, such as the recent statements from the Japanese central bank, which seem to remove the spectre of an immediate interest rate hike.
Finally, among the reasons, a gradual reduction in selling pressure from Mt. Gox and Jump Trading was noted.
The outlook is getting brighter, with many analysts and traders predicting further price appreciation in the coming months. Michael Terpin, founder of Transform Ventures, claims that Bitcoin could never fall below $50,000 again and that if Trump wins the election, it could even exceed $100,000.
Optimism for the coming months is also fueled by the analysis of Bitcoin's historical cycles. Data shows that the period between October and November is traditionally strong for the cryptocurrency.
