UNICEF opens to the world of Blockchain, mainly financing projects related to open source technologies to support children and young people around the world.

And if UNICEF believes in the Blockchain as a tool to reduce inequalities in the world, then it is time to pause a little and reflect on the ethical potential of this new and revolutionary technology.
It is simplistic to continue to see the Blockchain only as a system of pure speculation through cryptocurrency investments.
Blockchain is much more, it is a real opportunity for change in modern development models, those models in which we have grown and we continue to have the only possible development reference.
UNICEF believes in the ability of economies and digital currencies to shape the lives of future generations, commented Henrietta Fore, Executive Director of the Organization, according to which it is necessary to explore the possibilities offered by this technology.
The donation process will be simpler and faster using cryptocurrencies, as well as sending an email, without bureaucracy and slowdowns.
Donors will be able to monitor constantly
the effective use of funds by the Organization, thanks to the transparency and traceability of the Blockchain.
For this reason, the UNICEF Crypto Fund was established, collecting donations in Ethereum and Bitcoin, so as to fund various open source projects, including:
PRESCRYPTO, which wants to allow the sharing of health data, guaranteeing privacy and security;
ATIX LABS, a platform to support new business projects;
UTO TIXAR, which deals with local projects, such as school, youth employment, environmental sustainability.
I remain convinced that these are small steps forward, of great ideological value, for an increasingly democratic global economy thanks to the transparency, traceability and security that underlie the Blockchain technology.
Because a better world can still be possible.
Thanks for stopping by here.♥️
