BlockchainRPG NFT Mint Now Live

Over the last few months the BlockchainRPG team has been hard at work to not only release a new set of playable character NFTs for players of BlockchainRPG but we are actively working on a new crafting upgrade proposal as well as a new tokenomics proposal (my baby). This post is to share a little bit of information about all these of these major efforts.

BlockchainRPG NFT Mint Now Live

As of late last night, we have officially opened up the minting link for players to be able to mint their new NFT character packs. We have chosen to host this mint directly via the BlockchainRPG website (any other link you see is not authorized). At the same time, we are transitioning away from our initial collection name of "BlokchainRPG" on over to "BRPG". Due to the contract name change, you will need to uncheck the "Only Whitelisted NFTs" on AtomicHub until the whitelisting approval process for the new contract in complete. At the time of this posting, more than 90% of all the packs purchased so far have been opened... indicating our player base is driving the purchases, no flippers. A great sign for us as a team and for our community!

Crafting Upgrades and Tokenomics

As our team has been pushing to create a more immersive and satisfying experience for our community, two things often came up. Players wanting more functionality from the crafting and upgrade systems, with the idea that it'll drive more value to players who have been holding/collecting BRPG resource tokens and NFTs since the beginning. As well as a true implementation of "tokenomics" of some sort. Our team has worked to put together proposals for both a new crafting/upgrade system within BRPG as well as a new tokenomic model for the game and its players.

More information on these proposals will be coming shortly. The largest barrier to implementing some of these requests has been the lack of a recurring revenue stream (or revenue stream at all) since we built the game and offered it to the public without any barriers. Now with the new pack minting live, we can start leveraging income from pack sales to truly build and manage a tokenomic model that will be healthy for the game as well as the players.
