The 7 design principles of blockchain technology
1) Networked Integrity - spread over thousands of computers (networked) and their participants are incentivized to maintain the network integrity, since every transaction is recorded.
2) Distributed Power - no person / organization has outsized control over the whole network
3) Value as Incentive - all participants have aligned incentives
4) Security - since the network has a distributed nature, no central point of failure exists and therefore a reckless behaviour of one person is limited to that person
5) Privacy - people are in control of their data
6) Rights Preserved - rights (and freedoms) are clear and enforceable, as they become part of the blockchain
7) Inclusion - everyone in the world has (should have) the ability to participate in the global blockchain economy
