As we know that, the Ethereum blockchain is moving towards its upgrade i.e ETH 2.0

After the successful launch of ETH 2.0, phase 0 that is Beacon chain. Ethereum's co-founder vitalik buterin published an updated roadmap towards its upgrade.

The current upgrade is divided into phases.

Phase0 - phase 0 is the beacon chain that enables staking. It's doesn't effects the application layer on ethereum's blockchain.

Phase1- phase1 introduces the sharding of data, which increases the storage capability of the blockchain.

Phase2- phase2 will fully introduces the sharding and enables thousands of transactions per second.

As vitalik said in the past, it will takes 2 - 3 years to fully complete the upgrade as per the road map.
