I remember when Brave decided to integrate crypto-currency into their browser. This was an ingenious idea to combine crypto to something almost all of us use, a web browser.

The Brave browser has come a long way from its early beta days. Some may not realize how much more different it was than what we have today. It took a few years to get to where it is today and they have done well. From UI changes on the browser to workarounds on regulations, Brave continues to be an innovative browser that is not only about crypto-currency, but also privacy.

The old settings for tipping were under "Payments" rather than what we have now under "Rewards".

One of the big differences in the early releases of the browser was that there was no BAT token at the time. This means there were no ad rewards and only tipping was available. The browser was first integrated using Bitcoin and they were also working with Coinbase at the time.

One thing that is no longer shown on the Brave browser today is the counter for the time you saved loading a page. Comparing it to other browsers, Brave was and is a lot faster compared to other browsers.
