Permission-based advertising is the best kind of advertising. Rather than ads intruding on your Internet activities, essentially shoving themselves down your throat, you can score crypto for active consumption whenever you're good and ready.
Blockchain startup Permission.io wants to put the power of advertising back into the hands of its target audience...
Solid Partnerships
In addition to Bitcoin developer Jimmy Song, and Nate from 99 Bitcoins, Permission.io has established advertising agreements with some big-name companies.
I've gathered ASK tokens from watching ads from:
- Apple
- Audi
- Dell
- Disney
- Expedia
- Fox
- Intel
- LG
- Netflix
- Nike
- Samsung
- Sony
- And more
Recognize any of those outfits? Of course you do...
Earnings Will Vary

Now, there's no set-in-stone formula for calculating your earning potential.
As you can see in the above image, you gain 22 ASK for watching 35 seconds of video, but only 17 ASK for a different ad that's 4X as long.
Sometimes you'll earn 100 ASK, other times you'll earn only 6. Videos may be less than 10 seconds or more than 10 minutes.
It all depends on the arrangement between Permission.io and the advertiser.
MainNet Soon
According to the project's FAQ page, the MainNet was set to launch at the end of 2018. Although that bearish year is over, there's no MainNet just yet. That leads me to believe we'll see it sooner rather than later.
And once the MainNet does blast off, I expect ASK tokens to hit popular crypto exchanges including Binance and KuCoin.
Final thoughts...
I enjoy Publish0x because of the ability to earn crypto for doing things I'd do anyway: read and write about blockchain.
And just like our good friend Publish0x, the Permission.io project aims to award active participants with crypto in exchange for a little time. That's a win-win for everyone involved. Which is what blockchain tech is all about!
Peace and love to all my international crypto-nauts out there!
