However, unlike TOR, the HOPR crypto-based privacy-focused project has developed an incentive and innovative structure designed to pay node runners for their services of relaying user data. The HOPR also rewards node runners with its native crypto token ($HOPR). Within the HOPR network, as relayers dispatch user data, they receive their payment with the incoming data packet.
