The most profitable exchanges for traders were considered to be the Block: Binance US, FTX and OKCoin.
The Block's analyst Larry Cermak analyzed commissions on various cryptovoltaic exchanges and found that Binance US, FTX, OKCoin and Poloniex offer better conditions.
These exchanges charge the lowest trading fees. Usually, the fees of the maker (the trader who places the order) are lower because he adds liquidity to the exchange. Takers, on the contrary, pay higher commissions because they take liquidity off the floor.
In the report, Cermak said that he analyzed commissions for makers and takers at 20 leading cryptovoltaic exchanges. The FTX platform proved to be the most profitable for retail traders, but Binance US and OKCoin are more suitable for institutional players.
The highest commissions are charged by Coinbase, bitFlyer EU, Bitstamp and Gemini. At the same time, if the first platforms charge large commissions from transactions of any volume, the Gemini exchange, which belongs to the Winklevoss brothers, is quite profitable for institutional traders.
As for the largest cryptovoltaic exchange Binance, its commissions have always been considered low, but recently the market has been taking noticeable commissions from transactions of large volume. However, for retail traders, who are the main clients of the exchange, they remain small.
