Remember the Metaverse?
Remember Upland?
It apparently still exists, and it still developing in-app games, still developing in-app cities.
At the time of writing, Upland has over 4 million registered accounts, and players have collectively sold $20 million in digital assets.
That's both very good to hear and very bad.
4 million users is a lot of people, and $20 million is a lot of people, but it's all relative.
Crypto is a market worth trillions of dollars, and so $20 million doesn't sound like much.
That's living in a town with trillions of bottles of wine being sold, and there's a place that says they sold about 20 million.
Or maybe it's like being six feet tall in a room where everybody's the size of an Avatar character - Na'vi, I think they're called.
Or maybe it's like being a millionaire in a room full of trillionaires.
You get the gist.
I'm one of those 4 million users but, to be honest, I haven't used Upland in forever.
And I probably won't today. Or tomorrow.
