Here's something that will blow your mind: there are currently 11.4 million different digital assets on CoinMarketCap.

It was tens of thousands a couple of years ago. Then things dramatically escalated, especially in 2024, with the surge of memecoins, especially on the Solana network.

Clearly, most of these assets are valueless, or will be very soon.

The surge of new cryptos also prompted Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong to rethink the way they list crypto.

"We need to rethink our listin process at Coinbase given there are 1 million tokens a week being created now and growing," Armstrong wrote on X.

The problem is that Armstrong himself isn't sure how to go about it, since he also added that evaluating "each individually is not feasible."
