I should start with a disclaimer.
I'm not a gamer. I know zero about gaming, which means I know very little about SuiPlay 0X1, a new handheld device made by Sui (with Playtron).
I know it costs $599, and I know I won't buy it.
But I think it's important.
Crypto has a lot of problems, chief among which is terrible UX and even worse PR.
Some people are always using words such as 'onboarding' but it's difficult to onboard people if your main selling point is software that's complicated to explain and more complicated to understand.
That's where hardware comes into play - no pun intended.
With SuiPlay, Sui is telling you, "hey, this is a gaming device, a handheld device, and by the way we're actually a crypto company".
It's like Solana with Saga and Seeker.
We need more of this stuff.
In my humble, and currently drunken, opinion.
