I'm writing this while sipping my favourite beer from my favourite craft brewery in my favourite city in the world, while attending a crypto event.

The city in question in Belgrade and the event is Tomorrow Conference.

The debut conference was a big deal last year. So big in fact they're branching out and turning Tomorrow into a brand (TMRW) and expanding. This year, you've got three of them: UAE, Serbia and Spain.

Next year, they want to add a new one to the calendar - Miami.

Almost exactly 365 days ago, as I was entering the hall to get my press badge, I got a Slack message telling me I was out of a job. Not just me, my whole team got sacked.

"Your services are no longer required, sorry."

The message was long and convoluted and polite, but that's what the bottom line was.

As I was standing there, unclear what to do, or how to do it, and what funds I'd survive on, I decided my best option was to write stuff on Publish0x. And sip the very same beer I'm sipping now.

I'm telling you this because 365 days later, I'm at the same event (albeit at a different location), drinking the same beer, and things are seven million times better.

Got a new job, and a decent salary, and the beer tastes different.
