The Monza racetrack in Italy will become the first racetrack in the Metaverse.

And when they say 'the first', they mean the first FIA-sanctioned racetrack.

The all-Italian endeavour will see Rocket Dreams, an Italian start-up, team up with Nfactory to create an NFT version of the Autodromo on The Nemesis, a metaverse platform that's also Italian.

The official launch is scheduled for September 2022 during the F1 Grand Prix on September 11.

After that date, anyone with a computer (and this is an actual quote) will be able to create their own avatar and check out the racetrack in its virtual form.
