Is there a future for NODL?

By LeftFooted | bitcoinea | 4 Sep 2023

I went a crypto app shopping spree (figure of speech, these are actually free) and downloaded an app called Nodle.

Nodle, quoting, allows you to earn Nodle Tokens (NODL) by "using your phone as a node of the network, helping transmit data from Bluetooth devices to their owners."

I had an abandoned iPhone I don't use anymore, so I thought why not.

Nodle is also its own wallet, meaning the NODL you accrue are automatically credited to your wallet.

For the first few months everything went well.

NODL runs on one of Polkadot's parachain and I was able to transfer funds to Nova wallet.

NODL is technically supported by a handful of CEXs but I couldn't figure out how to exchange it to anything yet.

According to CoinMarketCap, NODL is available on Huobi and Kraken, which I'm not subscribed to, Gate.io, which I'm subscribed to but NODL isn't actually available, and Mecx, which for some reason is not available in my region.

But that's not the main issue.

The main issue is that rewards have gone down dramatically (is anyone surprised) and external transfers have been 'temporarily' suspended.

Is there anything more permanent than a 'temporary' suspension in crypto?

All jokes aside, is anybody familiar with NODL? If so, please do share info in the comments. I'm lost.
