For about a week now, my laptop, which is a two-year-old MacBook Air, has been producing a chiming sound that I didn't recognise.
There seemed to be no rhyme or reason at first, but then I realised the chiming happened sort of regularly.
I couldn't pinpoint - every 10, 20, 50, 500 minutes? No idea - but it was clear that it wasn't exactly random.
So I started googling "random chiming sound macbook", and the answers I got were varied, but google did give results, which I assumed meant it wasn't in my imagination and it could be the result of an issue with Mac.
I don't know if you're on Mac, but if you are, you know that when you've got an open tab, there's a little speaker-looking animation fo every tab that plays audio in the background.
One day, the speaker animation went on, randomly, in the tab where I keep my FaucetCrypto page open - the only faucet I still use.
FaucetCrypto recently changed the UI of its site, and apparently they added a chiming sound for when the base faucet resets, every 20 minutes.
There are several ways to earn with FaucetCrypto, but one of them is a faucet which resets every 20 minutes.
And apparently it produces a chiming sound.
And why didn't I realise it earlier?
Because I always keep the faucet tab open, but I obviously can't always press the button every 20 minutes, sometimes I'm just busy.
I turned off the sound now, it's quite annoying.
