I bought property on UPLAND - so now what?

I’m not much of a gamer but I am a crypto evangelist and, more importantly, a big fan of The Sims video game.

So when I signed up to Upland, I thought I'd find a crypto-based or blockchain-based version of said game but I was wrong.

Launched on the EOS blockchain a few years ago, Upland allows you to purchase virtual properties that you can technically also sell for actual cash.

So far, I’ve invested $9.98 to buy 10,000 UPX (not to be confused with the token of the same name), and I gained about 5,000 with a referral code I used, which gave me around 15,000 UPX to buy properties.

As it turns out, 15,000 is not a lot of cash and I could only afford some random solo houses in Chicago and Cleveland.

After NOT using the app for about two years, I remembered about it and decided to see if I could sell said properties. It turns out you can sell for UPX, or for USD but, for the latter option, you need to KYC first.

And I can't be bothered.

Are you on Upland?
