Coffeezilla jokingly said 'crime is now legal', but he's not wrong.
I wasn't particularly surprised that Hawk Tuah girl essentially got away with stealing (whether she did it on purpose or not she's guilty under strict liability laws) millions, but I was a bit frustrated with the situation with Trevor Milton.
But nevermind. A win's a win.
So we should celebrate the fact that Alex Mashinsky, former CEO of Celsius, got sentenced to 12 years.
What Mashinsky did was aking to a ponzy scheme, and he pleaded guilty to securities and commodities fraud. The prosecutor wanted 20 years, his defense wanted one, he got 12, which means he's going to be out probably in seven or eight, maybe 10. Not perfect, but not bad. A win's a win.
