Germany just 'earned' itself $38 million in crypto - let's see if it makes a silly mistake again

By LeftFooted | bitcoinea | 9 May 2025

German law enforcement seized €34 million - equivalent to around $38 million - in cryptocurrency from eXch, a cryptocurrency that was allegedly used to launder funds stolen from the Bybit hack.

The German government hasn't said a lot about it, but we do know that BTC, ETH, LTC and DASH (!?) have been seized.

A while back, Germany made headlines for spectacularly mistiming the sale.

The German government sold 50,000 BTC for $2.88 billion in July 2024.

As we all know, BTC is worth double that now.

Let's how creative they can get in making the same mistake again now.
