I am not 100% sure when Publish0x decided to change the filter mechanisms for all sections at the top...but I can tell that it is not working in favor of people who just started to blog or have a small number of people following. 

Let's be honest here, people initially came to the site and were keen on using their tips as fast as possible. And based on the views of my articles I can say that most views were made within the first few minutes as long as the article still appeared on top of the list for a certain tag. I assume with the recent change most people don't bother to adjust the filter from 'trending' (default setting) to 'latest' and simply click on the first trending article to leave their tip. 

I discovered a few authors who haven't made it into the trends but were still keen on reading more of those creators. Not sure though if people will discover me or someone else now with those changes. 

I wonder what it takes to publish an article that makes it into the trending section - challenge accepted :)
