The SEC Is Finally Looking At the Prospects of a Bitcoin ETF - This has been a topic of conversion, with back and forth nonsense over the last 3 years. Many large reputable funds submitted proposals to the SEC board & got denied (Simply because they didn't understand it). Only now it seems they're are waking up. No doubt all this institutional & corporate interest of late has them completely rethinking their earlier decisions; it seems now they are pulling a 180. Maybe it has something to do with the USD losing status as the Global Reserve Currency. Why would you deny your citizens a Bitcoin ETF, when it has an extremely bright future? They're probably beginning to realize they can't stop it. Maybe they're starting to see Bitcoin's game theory incentive - if Americans don't get super rich off Bitcoin, some other country will.
Bitcoin doesn't need an ETF to succeed, it just needs to survive. In saying that, if you look at when the gold ETF was approved and the price action that followed; a Bitcoin ETF could be just another massive bull case. An ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) is just another easy fiat-on-ramp for people who want Bitcoin exposure, without the added stress or hard work to research it. If only they knew the power they had becoming completely self-sovereign with their own node & hardware wallet.

Bitcoin is literally saving people in some parts of the world; it is primed for those who are unbanked/live under a corrupt government. ~4 Billion people are unbanked world-wide; yes not all of them have an electronic device with internet connectivity, however it's a massive start. As the global debt rises & wealth inequality worsens, there will be more & more demand for hard money - Bitcoin.
