Here is a review of Carrot, Learn about Bitcoin app. I've been testing it for a few days and I wanted to share my experience. This is not a financial advice.
With Carrot, you'll learn about Bitcoin. You will be learning articles about Bitcoin, written by Bitcoin celebrities, journalists and rewarded with sats. Once in a while you'll also receive redeem codes by following social accounts or by e-mail. You can then withdraw your sats and spend them any way you like.
KYC
Just give an e-mail address. It will be use to validate subscription and you'll also receive redeem codes.
Referral codes
There is no referral programs here. Only basic download on your app store.
Tasks
You can earn sats different ways:
- Reading articles
- Redeeming promo codes, you can get them by following their twitter account or by e-mail
Earnings
You'll generally earn 5 sats per article (sometimes boosted for a period of time), even if sometimes, it may happen that the rewards don't work. I wrote to the support regarding these occasional misses but I received no answer. There are also redeem codes offered from time to time to followers or by e-mail.
Withdrawal
Minimum withdrawal is 500 sats, and your account needs to be 4 days old. I tested to withdraw with Invoice and everything went fine.
Current Promos
- 250 sats as a welcome reward
- 100 sats with a special code: UT9T3MZE (I'm not sure how long it'll last)
- 14 sats per article read (instead of 5)
Conclusion
Carrot app is very bullish on Bitcoin. Well known influencers share their views and you'll be rewarded for just reading their articles. It's a good way to spread Bitcoin knowledge and adoption. Feel free to share this with your Bitcoiner friends.
