Named ‘Trending Tech Product of the Year’, Uniris was up against more established tech products such as TikTok, BetterMe, Zoom, Substack, Netflix Party and others. Uniris was declared “King for the day... yesterday a nobody" but today the "red carpet [was] rolled [out]" for the French-Indo startup.
The other award scooped up was the prestigious ‘Best Analytical Mind in Blockchain’ award. Uniris’s Head of R&D, Akshay Kumar KANDHI beat HedgeTech’s Laurent Benayoun, Alchemy’s Paul Payam Almasi, The Block’s Larry Cermak, among other notable names in Blockchain.
This certainly looks like the start of many good things to come for Uniris. CEO of Uniris, Sebastien DUPONT, couldn't be more proud.
"Blockchain data is super complex,” he declared. “It is an alien crash landing on top of traditional datasets that have dominated industries for decades and that is why, when the prestigious award by Hacker Noon ‘Noonies Tech 2020 - Best Analytical Mind in Blockchain’ was won by one of our team members, Akshay Kumar KANDHI, Head of R&D at Uniris, we couldn't have been more excited as a team, to kick the door open into a new realm of innovation and progress and build the most secure system in the world!”

Why Uniris Won: A Win-Win ID Verification Solution
Uniris is a blockchain-based biometric ID authentication solution which allows users to take ownership of their personal identification data without loss of privacy. 4 years of research and 12 international patents later, Uniris breaks with precursor solutions by improving technology attributes in scalability, speed, security and sustainability.
Based on an internal scan of the complex venous network of the finger done on any authorized authentication device, unique individual keys are generated securely to decipher the decentralized keychain. These keys are not stored but deleted after use.
Since users fully control their credentials without needing permissions from centralized authorities, identities are self-sovereign. Never needing users to hand over their identities, nor companies and organizations to shoulder the burden of data protection, Uniris provides a win-win solution in this era of privacy and data protection woes.
Last but not least, Uniris is backed by a powerful new consensus mechanism called ARCH Consensus (Atomic Rotating Commitment Heuristic). Built from scratch, the protocol outperforms the current market standards on multiple parameters such as ergonomics, scalability, speed, security and sustainability.
