Poem: Your Golden Glow

By bhmcintosh | bhmcintosh | 13 May 2019

Some folks just have an aura about them...a glow that envelopes, welcomes and heals the troubled and weary souls of others.

Your Golden Glow

I came to you with heavy heart,
With mind dismayed by many woes,
Oppressed by troubles all around,
Feeling down as down can be.

But when I stepped into your brightness,
Within that zone of light around you,
I could not help but feel some warmth,
And from that warmth some hope did spring.

I felt you sensed a change within me,
And thought your eyes did smile a bit,
As you reached out with your golden glow,
And surrounded me with loving grace.

Without a word you rescued me,
Pulled me back from sorrows' edge,
And blessed me with that silent gift,
Your light took back what darkness stole.
