Poem: That Power

Poem: That Power

By bhmcintosh | bhmcintosh | 16 May 2019

I make a pitiful attempt to suggest some sense of this powerful ALL. Please excuse my invention of the word "underment."

That Power

No hand can hope to stay it,
No earthly voice gainsay it,
The laws of physics but convey it,
And all nature does obey it.

That Power moves beneath the ground,
And in the air and all around,
It spins the planets round and round,
And lights the stars within the deep Unbound.

That Power is the underment,
The substance, essence, fundament,
Of being bright and hot and radiant,
Sustaining Heaven's firmament.

I stand in wonder at the sight,
Of all that Power brings to light,
From sub-atomic realms so slight,
A Universe expanding into Night!

I've written some poetry (currently posted on Steemit) and would like to explore more creative writing in the future.
