Poem: No End to This

By bhmcintosh | bhmcintosh | 29 Apr 2019

Could missing the one whose absence brings heartache...and cherishing that ache as a promise, be a kind of joy?

No End To This

The sweet pain of loneliness,
sings in my heart so beautifully,
a song, but not of mournfulness,
but one whose chorus joyfully,
reminds me of that soul I miss,
for just a while, but not forever,
because there is no end to this,
and there is no force that could deny,
what joins our hearts in such a bliss,
and no power in this world could try,
to diminish what even time exists,
to only amplify.

I've written some poetry (currently posted on Steemit) and would like to explore more creative writing in the future.
