Poem: Faith's Alchemy

Sometimes the only thing that separates two hearts is a leap of faith...

Faith's Alchemy

I hope I'm right, I'd love to be,
Not wrong about your subtlety,
Mistaking all the signs I think I see,
Believing that they're meant for me.

Please forgive my density,
I'm not accomplished at telepathy,
Nor have I skill at empathy,
Therefore I ask you for some sympathy.

Can what I'm feeling inwardly,
Be something more than fantasy,
Be something that could powerfully,
Connect our hearts, eventually?

I could be wrong, so utterly,
But I want to take a chance to be,
Transformed by faith's grand alchemy,
And hope you feel the same as me.

I've written some poetry (currently posted on Steemit) and would like to explore more creative writing in the future.
