Quick Update on Freelance Writing Union Plans

from

The Better Call Paul Blog

Hello everyone!  I hope you all are safe and sound and free from viral sicknesses.

I just wanted to give a quick line or two to touch base with everyone who sent me an email expressing interest in joining my future project for a Freelance Writers and Journalists Union/Confederation/Cooperative -- the last word in the name is still up for debate.

I received all of your requests and will be responding individually soon, but I just wanted to update everyone really quick.

At this point, we have had to delay the launch of the project until we emerge on the other side of this crisis.  Many of the clients that I work for have taken a beating, which means my contracts have either been scaled down drastically or terminated altogether.  I have my crypto, but the last thing I want to do is have to liquidate during these times.

As such, we always appreciate the tips that our readers give here on Publish0x.

If you are unsure what I am talking about when I mention the Writer's Union, go back into my earlier posts, where you will see the proposal in full details.

I don't anticipate the delay in launch to be too terribly long.  There is a surge of newly minted work-from-home warriors that would definitely benefit from a well-organized community of writers and journos.

So, keep posted, and if you emailed me, I will be getting back with you individually in the coming weeks.

Stay safe out there, everyone!
