Michigan Gov Bans Travel Between Residences

A COVID-19 Special Edition of the

Wotcher, everyone.
We've never experienced anything like the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the longer we continue down this rabbit hole, the stranger the behavior of those in power become.
It appears as though these statements of misinformation are designed to induce panic across the nation, as people fear a fast-spreading virus combined with an inability to protect themselves.
Effective 04/11/2020, Michigan residents will no longer be able to pop in to the neighbor's house for a cup of sugar; to play a co-op session of your favorite multiplayer game; or even stop by to see how your friends and family are doing during this pandemic.
Governor Whitmer, who has famously drawn the ire of the federal government for some of the ridiculous actions she has taken during this pandemic, went all out today, issuing a directly banning all travel "between residences."
Such an order is nothing more than the enforcement of martial law, violation of constitutional rights, and a power grab by this unstable governor. Unfortunately, instead of truly worrying about her constituents, she instead uses her bully pulpit to trash the President.
Meanwhile, Governor Newsom of California -- arguably one of the farthest left governors in the nation -- has put politics aside and has praised Trump's responsiveness and assistance to the state of California during this crisis.
The point is --
The virus should not be a political weapon. It is a destructive organism that infects, sickens, and kills its hosts. It is not Republican or Democrat. Our response should never be a political response, but we all know how politicians think....
"Never let a crisis go to waste"
This is the mantra of Washington, DC during times of crisis, be it a political scandal, a natural disaster, or this pandemic. Life-long politicians like Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer came together and made the CARES Act a reality, but they have now devolved into taking political shots at each other on news interviews.
Meanwhile, you still can't get a pack of gloves or masks at your local Wal-mart, and this is causing mass panic across the nation as politicians use a supposed "PPE Shortage" to make their own calculated attempts to get more money for their state from federal taxpayer coffers.
What they aren't telling you, while they induce this panic, is that you can find all of your personal protective equipment online.
In 2 seconds, while writing this post, I found available 50-packs of surgical face masks and gloves ready to ship right this second.
50-Pack of 3-ply Surgical Face Masks -- CLICK TO ORDER
100-Count (50 pair) of Nitrile Gloves, powder-free and hypoallergenic -- CLICK TO ORDER
The fact that I was able to sit down, find these, create links, and post them into this article -- all in a matter of 90 seconds -- is evidence that people simply are being misled with all of the reports of manufacturer shortages. It appears as though these statements of misinformation are designed to induce panic across the nation, as people fear a fast-spreading virus combined with an inability to protect themselves.
As a matter of fact, as the day wears on, I will likely be posting a resource with links to over 50 items that are very useful during this Stay At Home time. I think it to be absolutely ridiculous that people think that are going to be at increased risk to catch COVID-19 because local retailers continually run out of PPE supplies.
Anyway, that aside -- I know this post is a bit more informal than most of my musings. However, I thought it necessary to speak to my audience on a first-person basis because I feel that this information is necessary to get out.
If there is one thing that I can stress; one thing that I can get across to my readers -- it's that
this too shall pass
Best wishes to everyone out there.
