As a clinician my goal has always been reinforcing the importance of prevention!  23 years in primary care helping others along their journeys.

Today, I write in hopes that possibly  one person sees this and spreads the word.  Saving one from this cancer is what it’s about.

Melanoma can kill!
It does not discriminate.  Tanning beds increase your risk by 75 percent.  Melanoma can hide anywhere. It can be from sun UC damage but can be genetic.

Please,  if you see a lesion on your body that does not look right get it checked out!

Do not wait!   Insist on biopsy!  Advocate for yourself!  Go with your gut!

Skin  Cancer detection

asymmetry, border, color, diameter. Evolving

My melanoma  was symmetrical, the border was regular, it was Pink, it was growing and evolving.   When my biopsy went to path melanoma was not in the differential diagnosis

Final Diagnosis: amelanotic nodular melanoma

tomorrow round 2.  Surgery then planning the correct treatment path!

Save lives and think smart!
