It does not discriminate. Tanning beds increase your risk by 75 percent. Melanoma can hide anywhere. It can be from sun UC damage but can be genetic.
Please, if you see a lesion on your body that does not look right get it checked out!
Do not wait! Insist on biopsy! Advocate for yourself! Go with your gut!

My melanoma was symmetrical, the border was regular, it was Pink, it was growing and evolving. When my biopsy went to path melanoma was not in the differential diagnosis
Final Diagnosis: amelanotic nodular melanoma
tomorrow round 2. Surgery then planning the correct treatment path!
