D-Determined

When you see the word determined, what do you think of?

I think my genetic code caused me to have such a desire to help others. Being a fourth generation family practice provider, I just felt compelled to be in a profession where I could help others. I was determined even though I was a successful musician to get into medicine one way or another.

I was determined to go back to school and become a doctor. While I was doing my prerequisites I met a PA and as I was working at the county hospital getting experience in the Burn Center, I realized the PA profession at my time in life would be a better fit.

I was determined to get into school, get my education and determined to one day on my own practice... All of which happened.

In my journey I realize so many people have issues with healthcare and also getting the care that they needed so I created  the website and FB page ask the PA and wrote my book: Surviving the Business of healthcare -knowledge is power. I was determined to make a difference, exponentially. 

When I got cancer the question I continued to ask myself over and over was why? Not that I should be entitled to perfect health as I know... stuff happens,  but this type of cancer?

As I started fighting my melanoma  I realize that a lot of people we’re fighting alone or had questions so I was determined to make a difference.  That’s when I came up with a really good idea to connect people in a very unique way... especially cancer patients. I was determined to get this concept out to the world. Unfortunately that never happened as I partnered with someone who I thought had the same intentions, but now this entire Dream is in litigation.

I can’t say anything else given this, but this does not hold back my determination to help others.  It does,however, teach me to be on my guard concerning any other projects and that the legal process is very slow...   I am determined and have no doubt I will win.

I am determined to still help and that’s why I am here!   

We can agree that most of us are determined to do and accomplish Great things.  For each of us these goals can be very different.

My wish for everybody is never give up on a dream that you’re determined to accomplish.
Sometimes you just have to do it in a different way and there’s for most of us a a learning curve along the way.  

Be Determined and Dream big because anything is possible. 

As many of us are choosing to stay home this is the time to execute if you are Determined Enough!
