I wanted to write this to remind everyone that even though you have all of your pictures backed up somewhere that they are not safe and anytime you try go to check them out your hard drive or your whatever storage device holding them malfunctions and you lose everything you have been saving over the years.
This happened to me not to long ago and I was very upset. I could not recover anything that I had saved on there. I still have the hard drive hoping one day I will be able to get whatever it is on there. I now use a couple different hard drives. I use one for long term storage and one for short term storage. That way if something happens to your storage device then you have a backup to create another storage device.
I back up my files a couple times a week. It only takes anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. It allows you to be organized and have everything backed up twice for safety. On my long-term storage device, I can encrypt my saved files and keep them safe from prying eyes.
I use a small 128gb WANSISEN USB memory card. I can plug it into any phone and use it to store pictures and contacts and encrypt everything. I back up everything else on a bigger hard drive but that one is not used as much as I use this one. It is convenient, has a good amount of storage, and light weight and easy to carry around.
I hope you enjoyed my post and I hope you take my advice and back up your backup! Leave some comments and let me know what you think!
