Atom Collector Records Thursday Selection

The following tracks are a selection of the fantastic independent musicians that use AtomCollectorRecords.com:
Sorrow Stories - Aquarium - Nickillus remix 2 by Nickillus
Sorrow Stories (Tina Forlorn) kindly put some tracks from her 'This Time Has Already Passed' album up for remixing in a Metapop competition recently. Although I didn't get anywhere in the competition itself, I had a ton of fun working with her highly individual vocals. It's all about experimenting and trying to improve. Boy is there room for that.
All rights to the songs are copyrighted back to Sorrow Stories.

Himalayan Suite - Appointment in Samara by Indus Rush
Appointment in Samara is the 4th track in the Himalayan Suite, and refers directly to the story of the Merchant of Baghdad by W. Somerset Maughm. It isn't directly linked to the Himalayas, but I used a bit of poetic license. Samara is one of the ancient cities which is on the Silk Route which passes through the Himalayan region as it winds it's way west towards Venice from the great civilisations of ancient China. I've always enjoyed that great fable so it was only natural for me to use it in this silk road related tale. This song, or tune rather, was written during my recovery from my Radiotherapy treatment, whilst I was high as a kite on Morphine. I rate this as one of the best tunes on the album, so sit back and enjoy it.
Peaceful Tranquility by Juxta
Title track from my EP released in 2018
LYRICS
By candle light
Everything looks different
Try as I might
My point of view has changed
The shadows
Flicker in the glow
Amber fingers
Putting on a show
And I love this feeling
Of peaceful tranquility
The vultures
Circle overhead
Waiting to move in
When I come to rest
They always prey on the easily led
Don't even wait until they're buried and dead
And I love this feeling
Of peaceful tranquility
Yeah I love this feeling
Of peaceful tranquility
Thank You by Davy Vance
Folk with religious leanings have their various collections of seemingly benevolent deities to ask for help and the odd time when things are going well,to show a little gratitude.
Being a heathen,I don't have that option,so this is a song to the indifferent universe voicing my slowly dying pleasure at still being able to place one foot in front of the other.
Walking is great,I love a good walk.
Pick them up and put them down...feet that is. :)
LYRICS
I'm glad I'm still around
To pick them up and put them down
Standing up and breathing air
Happy just to be somewhere
Thank you for the air I breathe
Thanks for what I don't believe
Thank you for the freedom of choice
And the grand illusion of having a voice
Pick them up and put them down
I'm just happy to be around
Thank you for the air I breathe
Thanks for what I don't believe
Thank you for the freedom of choice
And the grand illusion of having a voice
