Mōrena everyone, I hope you have had a great weekend. I had a quiet one just potterig around home, mowing lawns etc.. I needed it after the hustle and bustle of the previous one.
Something I have found interesting to watch is the ceremonies around the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the succession of King Charles III. The history and tradition is fascinating. Along the lines of tradition, we are entering te wiki o te reo Māori (Māori language week) where we celebrate the Māori language and make a concerted effort to learn new words or phrases. This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the partition to parliment to increase te reo in our country. I heard on the TV last night that it takes one generation to lose a language, and three generations to recover it.
Back to business though, here is todays joke of the day.
Kia pai te rā, have a great day, take care, stay safe.
