Once, new tenants moved into the house opposite a family. Seeing their clothes drying on a stand from the window, the wife complained to her husband that the people are nice. But they don't know how to wash their clothes properly.
The husband says, "they must have run out of soap."
The next day, seeing the clothes hanging out to dry again, the wife repeats the same sentence, saying that people are nice but they don't know how to their wash their clothes properly.
Like this goes on everyday for sometime.
One fine day, she looks at their clothes and wonders what a miracle it is. She says to her husband, it seems someone taught them how to wash clothes properly. Today, their clothes are sparkling clean.
Husband replies, no dear I woke up early this morning and cleaned our windows. I wiped the glass inside and outside with a wet cloth, so you can see those clothes clean. We have improved ourselves, not the other person. We should keep our perspective clear and change it if we find something unpleasant.
You may not control your circumstances, but you can always choose the perspective you take toward them. Life is already beautiful, and it becomes even more so when you have the right perspective.
