This has been one hell of a week... really a week since my last #420freewrite 🤯 doing lots of Skip The Dishes so my finances are not of a concern, this very good! I will be starting my "vacation" soon and it seems that will be a stay-at-home-literally-cation. We both need the time off from work and I cannot cancel now as they need people to take time off otherwise we will be looking at layoffs. Not that I am concerned, as long as I can do Skip The Dishes and remember how to get around through all the quick routes here in Victoria I will beat out the competition every time. The trick sometimes is just remembering ....

I remember .... remember .... this one time I didn't remember after getting way too freaking stoned 😅 lost where I was on planet earth never mind the car I was driving... lets start off with a little back story....
Back in the days when I was doing pizza delivery I had a wicked 1987 Turbo Sprint. Not as dope as the one in the video but in redneck fashion leagues above! Same deal setup to drag only done with bolt on shit we could get our hands on. I so wish I had pictures but I lost that one to the police in the end..... anyways... lowered, solid poly bushing, homemade strut supports, interior gutted, ram air with hood scoop, over sized Volvo turbo, over sized 4 cyl sprint injectors, tinted windows, faded red paint and grey primer and to top it all off pink slurpee straws on the antennas(one for CB radio as a food courier) plus Duct Tape racing stripes 😅
She wasn't much to look at but she sure did go real good. Me and my buddies loved to sit around and tinker, myself as always the ideas man... what if we take the Volvo turbo and stuff it on the sprint ... a few air mod and vacuum mods later we had it working dumping nearly 3x the boost... first thing to go trough the new setup was the mechanic of the groups joint as he flinched 😆 dropping it when the car finally turned over ... it was parked for awhile and i picked up a POS or two to get by while getting my dope ride ready to go ....
8 months later and the thing is done, drag worthy and first trip out and I loose the fucking car!!! No not to the police this time but to my own stupidity, luckily I did get to enjoy this beast for a few months before loosing her to the police ....
We took the Sprint out from Port Alberni, hit the highway and sparked up joints .... we started off taking it easy wanting to make sure nothing blew first trip till we hit the 120 level zone and I opened it up. We were hot boxing and I seen a 911 twin turbo in the distance, timing was right to top it out in time and hit them with a cloud 😅 so we did! I clearly remember the drop down to 4th gear at 120 KM to hit that last 1250 RMP of pull and hard into 5th gear watching every body in the car sway with the momentum forwards and back... no one expected it and a fraction of a second was all it took to red line 4th while taking the joint from a passenger and stuffing it into my mouth to stop it from hitting the floor before shifting into 5th and with a blind stare past the 911 just starting to bounce off the red line in our last gear I swerved in front and we all dropped the windows smoking the dude right out. Then he followed us.....
Playing keep up it seemed and by this point we had driven to Victoria in record time with him hot on our tail never stopping to think for a moment other then who's lighting the next joint with slight detours as he would drop outa sight... he would follow so we would continue 😅 He finally caught up with us in Downtown Victoria, the lights there make it so you cannot get far and without knowing the city we were driving circles. We decided to stop, it was strange he never once gestured or got out of the car just sat there or followed when we moved.....
I got the mechanic, our knuckle head, to go see what was up and offer him a joint. I kid you not the dude rolled down his window and took the joint and rolled it back up.... everyone laughed but I knew we were in trouble..... we pissed off the wrong dude it seems and now completely outside our home town we are easy pickings....
I seen what was happening but I knew if I said anything it wouldn't be good for anyone, we were confronted to join for a session to which we did go and we all got shit faced. Details presented themselves such as asking where I parked my car after arriving and luckily I had thought ahead... we had a dummy switch on the fuel line and I parked way the fuck away! After we got out of there "safely" meaning only bruised and made the escape for our car only to find it gone anyways we were all dumb founded. We had a collective moment of WTF while the pressure mounted and moments ticked by a sign stuck out to one of us and we knew that it was the right spot after all.... tracking the car would be easy it could only make it 2-5 blocks unless they roll underneath to check.... we spread out based on who had phones and found the car in minutes!
I ran up on the car just as the dude whom was trying to get it to start stepping inside a building, flipped the switch underneath, figured out how to start it with a broken ignition and off I went picking up my boys with phone to my ear them telling me where to turn based on where they hear me from.... "no no turn around" and backwards up the one way I went honking back at people not knowing WTF at this point.... never driven in the city before racing around it in a panic 😅 my father called me asking why I was on the Victoria police channel just as I got everyone in the car... FUCK!!! They didn't have a plate just a description of the car luckily!
My father monitored the scanner and kept a line live between us every step of the way, daddy to the rescue 😅 I always knew he was a bad ass but this proved it! First thing he said... smash out a headlight as they are looking for 2... grab a can of grey primer and make it look beater they wont expect it to be the excessive speeder... most importantly drop the passengers and drive like nothing is wrong cause they looking for a car of shit heads! While I was at Canadian Tire I grabbed some Duct Tape for stripes and last minute tossed pink straws on the antennas... the look was completely shit but perfect nonetheless!
My father setup a friend to take everyone else to the bus depot which I payed for out of pocket plus meals, they were stoned as fuck and didn't care as long as they got to eat some street food LOL as soon as I hit the highway my father told me to gun it and stop for nothing, so I did, and ....
.... I Never Did Hear About It Again ....
besides the ongoing "did you remember where you parked?" joke
