Hi there!
As you may remember, we spoke earlier about who would benefit from a decentralised social network Solcial.
The moment finally came when this social network was launched and access to registration was open to all and everyone!
Solcial is available on desktop as well as iOS and Android.
First of all, I would like to point out the main advantages of Solcial, in my opinion:
1. No personal data is required to sign up at Solcial and to use the full functionality of the network. Also, no data about you is collected during the use of the social network. All you need for registration and login is a Solana Wallet (or you can create a new one right during registration).
2. Solcial creates for each user his/her own personal token in Solana blockchain. When you register, you make up your own name for it. When registration is complete, your token will be displayed in your wallet and you can do whatever you want with it. But first of all, you can use it inside Solcial to monetize your content.
3. At Solcial users can post whatever they want, thanks to the fact that there are no content restrictions, no moderators or administrators, and no one will be able to delete your content or block your account! But if someone posted harmful content, other users can send a report and it will be hidden!
4. At Solcial you will be able to create your own NFTs instantly and for free (apart from a small commission per transaction), you will be able to show your NFTs to other users in your profile, and sell or give them as gifts to whomever you like.
The developers keep adding new features to the social network, so there's more to come.
So, to register, you just need to go to the official website and click "LOG IN":

Please be aware that you will need some SOL (less than 0.05) to create your personal token and your liquidity pool (although if you skip this step you can always come back to it later).
When you have completed your registration, the first thing you can start with is discovering the social network. You will always find trending posts on the Discover page of the social network.
This is what the Discover page looks like:

You can subscribe to any users in order to have their posts appear in your Feed. This is what the Feed looks like:

Keep in mind that your Feed displays only the content of the tier to which you have subscribed. Let me remind you that Solcial has three tiers of subscription, which I covered here.
So far, Solcial developers have only made the first and second tiers available for use, with the third coming later.
In brief, the first tier of content is publicly available (free) content. The second tier is exclusive (private) content, which is available only to users who have purchased a subscription.
Let's talk more about how the second tier subscription works.
First of all, you should go into settings and specify how many tokens your second tier content is worth:

For example, you have specified that a subscription to your Tier2 costs 20 your tokens. So all users who want to see your Tier2 content must buy and hold at least 20 your tokens.
In order to buy 20 your tokens, users will need SLCL (it's Solcial's native cryptocurrency). If you don't already have SLCL, you can buy it on exchanges or swap directly inside Solcial from SOL.
Let's see in detail how to do it.
So let's say you have registered at Solcial and you have only some SOL on your balance and your user token that Solcial has minted for you.
You want to start by purchasing some SLCL. To do that you need to go to this page. On the right-hand side of the window you will see the SWAP section:

Specify how many coins you want to swap and press SWAP. And you're done.
The same way buying any user's tokens works: go to the user's page and specify in the SWAP section how many tokens you want to buy. It's all very simple! All the tokens you have bought will be shown in your wallet.
To see all the information about your profile, click on your avatar in the top right corner of the screen. You will see four tabs:
POSTS - all your posts
TOKEN - a summary of your token and your liquidity pool, as well as info on who is holding your tokens
NFTS - page for displaying your nfts or for creating new nfts
HOLDINGS - a list of tokens you hold in your wallet.
As I said before, the developers keep adding new features, so my review in this post describes Solcial as of January 2023. I'm sure there's more to come!
