Dzisiaj więc o często spotykanym grzybie nadrzewnym, czyli wrośniaku szorstkim, którego spore stanowiska udało się mi namierzyć w lesie liściastym.

The fungus is attached to the tree most often sideways. It has a kidney-shaped, semicircular and sometimes circular shape. It often grows in groups, in cascades, creating tile-shaped forms.

Grzyb przyrośnięty jest do drzewa najczęściej bokiem. Ma nerkowaty, półkolisty, a czasami kolisty kształt. Często rośnie w grupach, kaskadowo, tworząc dachówkowate formy.

Of course, this whole beech forest is an amazing oasis of peace. You can't hear the hustle and bustle of the city there, you can't even hear the life that sometimes pulsates in the village.

Górna część grzyba jest najczęściej filcowata i owłosiona, przypominająca szczecinę. Włosy są dość gęste i mogą osiągać kilka mm długości.

The color of the hat changes with age. First it is white, then gray, often greenish. Concentric stripes are clearly visible on the uneven surface.

Kolor kapelusza zmienia się z wiekiem. Najpierw jest biały, potem szary, często zielonkawy. Na nierównej powierzchni widać wyraźne pręgi ułożone koncentrycznie.

The hymenophore in the form of tubes and pores is initially white in color, darkens over time, turns yellow and becomes almost brown.

Hymenofor w postaci rurek i porów jest początkowo białego koloru, z czasem ciemnieje, żółknie i staje się prawie brązowy.

The flesh has a slight mushroom smell, maybe even a little aniseed, and the taste is bitter. It is white in color and flexible. Yellowing in old age. The whole fungus in old age, hardens and goes bald.

Miąższ ma delikatny grzybowy zapach, może nawet trochę anyżowy, a smak natomiast jest gorzki. Ma biały kolor, jest elastyczny. Na starość żółknie. Cały grzyb na starość, twardnieje no i łysieje.

Where can you find this species? In my case, these are beech forests, dead old trees or blown down by the wind. But the fungus can also be located on other tree species. For example, on birch, oak, linden, poplar.

Gdzie można natknąć się na ten gatunek? W moim przypadku to lasy bukowe, obumarłe stare drzewa lub powalone przez wiatr. Ale grzyb można zlokalizować również na innych gatunkach drzew. Na przykład na brzozie, dębie, lipie, topoli.
