Hi I'm Byron and I draw Zombies. When I first began I didn't know I would draw zombie portraits for my job. I say job because it is how I earned my income for many years. Never quite enough though because back then finding customers is hard. At least it was for me.
Now though, I have a huge audience that have been asking me to provide them with original artwork. Especially the zombie portraits. And with Christmas fast approaching, I thought it's time I should kick this art career into high gear.
I will be selling most of my work through the ko-fi shop though I will take nearly any form of crypto as payment.

For those of you who don't know, I started up a 1000 zombies art project, but it never quite got completed for reasons that warrant a different article.
I got good at painting people as zombies and was ever hired by Google Canada to paint their staff (at the time) as Zombies. This photo is the entire collection together and it hung in their hallways for a year or so. I never got a chance to see it and I don't know where it is.
When I found NFTs in 2021 I stopped trying to get zombie portrait commissions. Now it's time to get back into it and give my brain a rest on the NFT part of things for a few weeks.
There is no computer used expect after the artwork is completed, and that is only to enhance colours and impact. Otherwise it's all hand drawn and painted.
Over the years I've painted a lot of people portraits, as well as pet portraits.
I've even painted commissions of other peoples characters, like GodZilla and the TARDIS from Doctor Who
My most common request has been people though.
Sometimes it's just one person all by themselves.
Other times it's a couple
Or a person and their pet.
I have even created zombie family portraits
as well as whimsical family portraits
Did I mention pet portraits? ;)
I pretty much do it all in regards to painting. Portraits or scenes from your imagination translated by my understanding. Sometimes I paint pop culture icons for people and other times I paint animals. I enjoy painting and I enjoy creating and I think I've finally gotten over that complex that prevents me from doing it all the time for people, for money.
All of my portraits are created with mixed media on paper. I prefer the 4"x6" size because when I was unable to afford very much, I was very sparse with my good paper. 4"x6" was convenient but 5"X7" as well as 8"x10" is getting more common lately.
This is an example of one of the zombie portraits I created several years ago.
If you like YouTube videos, there are also several of those out there as well.
Any and all artwork that I mail out doesn't travel alone. I send a small horde of extras to ensure the parcel arrives unharmed and ready to explode out with horror art goriness. I still have hundreds of art prints and some stickers as well as a thousand drawings that need homes. I have always been a believer in giving more than what's expected and for me, that means giving more artwork.
When I ship out my artwork I will be using Canada Post and will be sure to package the artwork between some sturdy foam boards to protect it from bending and rolling. The smaller letter sized artwork will be sent in between prints and in a plastic sleeve to protect it.
I often decorate the envelopes in some way, or include thank you art inside the letter as well.
I have opened up the Ko-fi shop to start taking orders. You can visit it here: https://ko-fi.com/houseofthehorde/shop
I also accept most forms of Crypto, and I have some NFT versions available for WAX purchase here: https://nfthive.io/user/byronjrempel?tab=listings#Tabs
I'm also open to the idea of larger paintings, portraits or otherwise, and I am open to selling nearly all of my artwork. Yes, the time has come to say good bye. There are some I will not sell, but many I will and if you want to avoid the rush and eventual higher prices that will come ... hit me up in the comments and I will be happy to discuss.
I have a lot of artwork and I really don't want to have it sitting in storage when there are other people in the world that would appreciate it and display it for others to see, or just to enjoy themselves.
For those that are into NFTs, I am willing to make NFT versions of the artwork you buy or commission. I can put it on most blockchains, though if there are high gas fees that will be your responsibility.
I'm pretty flexible and willing to do as much as possible to make the whole experience seamless and smooth.
