Who is Pepe?   Well, Pepe is a frog… why do we care? Pepe despite all of the bad press association with trump and school shootings is cartoon frog whose origins are just that of an internet comic.

But why are we talking about this alt-right Nazi frog? (I hope the sarcasm hasn’t gone unnoticed) well, Pepe is incredibly important for our industry and in a way 4chan has also played a Huge part in the digital art movement. Pepe cash which is a kind of cryptocurrency like bitcoin was developed to help creators of memes benefit from their creations and still stay anonymous. But later came rare Pepe’s build on the Pepe cash network and launching close to the time of crypto kitty’s rare Pepe’s were really one of the first crypto collectables out their homer Pepe (Pepe based on Homer Simpson) sold for 40k USD.

Crypto kitties were a huge factor in launching this market but alongside it was rare Pepe’s never forget. When history looks back it will remember crypto kitty’s but if you read this post, you’ll know the truth well know the truth it was Pepe the Nazi, school shooting, tump supporting green frog who started this new industry.
