Hey folks! I’m pretty excited! Not only did I received my POSTCARD PACKAGE in the mail yesterday, but I’ve also created some new artwork and MADE some new postcards for people to enjoy. (I also bought some stamps while I was at the credit union today, so I can SEND a batch of postcards to a few humans that I know.)
REMEMBER!!! Circulation is the key to happiness!

As I mentioned above, I also received my postcard order from Redbubble, yesterday. I bought thirteen postcards in this batch:
Some of those are my images, but the others are from a variety of artists who share their work on Redbubble. “There is Always Time for Coffee” is by Julia Henze. The robot on the swing is by MattDixonArt. The cat peaking up from the bottom of the image is by Laura Graves. “Does Your Cat Know About the Feminist Movement?” is by ErikaFlea123. “Good Vibes” is by Emma Lou Graphics. “Heckin’ Bamboozled” is by Hillary White. The Ruth Bader Ginsburg card is by ShaggyLocks. And “To the Disco” is by JezKemp. (The rest are by me.)
My order came in a cool red envelope with this printed on it:

Now that I bought my book of stamps, I’m going to start sending out these suckers, too. I have a handful of folks who I think would be at least a little bit amused to receive a dead potato or an angry Gitzy in the mail. Of course, I’m KEEPING several of these for myself. I love postcards.
I’ve even thought of starting an entire MUSEUM OF POSTCARD ART! I would love to have various ERAS and TYPES of cards, (Vintage / Photography / Local Interest / Art…) Should I do this as an ONLINE project? Or does this need to be a PHYSICAL THING? I don’t know. And then, of course, there would be the entire section for postcards that have been SENT AND RECEIVED---CIRCULATED, if you will, which makes them HAPPIER postcards…
Making art, supporting artists, sending messages to people (even if they’re SHORT messages), circulating happiness, and helping to keep the POSTAL SERVICE alive… I’m happy with this whole damn thing!
