I hope you are having a nice day. I didn't want to let the weeks go by without continuing to share collages with you. This time, I bring you a freestyle collage. For its realization, I used images from Pixabay.
For this collage, I wanted to return to my favorite style: a simple fine art composition, with elements of cutouts taken from traditional collage, highlighting the beauty of surrealism and the ethereal. Above all, I sought a composition that was pleasing to the eye.
I started with a light blue background with an overlapping texture reminiscent of an old paper or watercolor sheet.
The main photo is of a beautiful model, whom I decided to use for her position in the portrait. I removed the parts I didn't need using brushes and, with the same brush, gave the effect of torn paper. To avoid leaving so much negative space above the shoulders, I added a duplicate image of flowers.
Crowning the space from the eyes, I added clouds using brushes. For better contrast, I removed all the saturation on the model's skin for a black and white effect to better match the blue of the background. Finally, I decorated her skin with butterflies, which I changed the color to improve the contrast.
As always, I leave you a small animation with the creative process. On this occasion, it took me about an hour to complete, without taking into account the time spent in the selection of images and brushes.
Well, friends, this will be all for today. I hope you liked the final result and I encourage you to continue participating actively in the community, even if the challenges are paused during the summer. I always really enjoy both sharing and consuming the collages you showcase in the community. As always, thank you for all the support, it means a lot to me, and of course, my best wishes for success and beautiful days. See you in the comments, see you soon!
