The inspiration behind my collage “Cosmic Aquarium” comes from my desire to create a surreal composition that showcases the beauty of two distinct worlds: the outer world and the marine world. I wanted to capture the essence of both and merge them into a piece that evokes a sense of wonder and amazement.

For the creation of this collage, I used free-to-use photographs obtained from Pixabay. The original base photo showed a beautiful girl sitting on the beach, looking at the horizon with a bouquet of flowers. This image captivated me with its serenity and the sense of contemplation it conveyed. I felt it was the perfect starting point for my composition.

The vibrant coloration of the betta fish adds an element of dynamism and life to the piece.

I wanted the fish to appear as a luminous, almost magical entity navigating through the cosmos. To achieve this effect, I used color manipulation techniques and brightness and contrast adjustments. The final result is a fish that seems to radiate light, as if it were a marine star in a cosmic ocean.
