The other day I was on a walking trip and while resting a little on tree shadow, a not so little butterfly came to visit me. Maybe it was also resting, it must be very tired to be all the time flying around. Then, I don't know if it knew I'm there or if it's a regular protection move (I'm sure it's the second) the butterfly extendend their wings and two deep looking eyes appeared. It reminds me a lot the Super Mario 64 mushrooms :)

Mimethics is one of the best defense strategies in nature I'm sure you know some examples like spiders, flys, even butterflies. So, here you have another one! Cheers!
