BEST Sambal Ikan Bilis untuk Nasi Lemak | Special Anchovies Sambal for Nasi Lemak

Hi all, the recipe for sambal ikan bilis/anchovies sambal is finally published as promised. My version is bit different, as I have added tomatoes and lemon juice for sourness, and little coconut milk to provide a rich and sweet taste to the sambal. Ingredients for Coconut Milk Rice :
4 cups Basmati Rice (Soak the rice for 30 minutes)
4 cups Coconut Milk
2 cups Water
2 Pandan Leaves
½ tsp Fenugreek Seeds
3 Cloves
2 inch Ginger
1 Lemongrass (Serai)
1 ½ tsp Salt

Ingredients for Anchovies Sambal :
As required Oil
6 (400g) Big onions
2 Lemongrass
1 Pandan leaf
*Blend the items (i) to (iv) below into paste :
(i) 2 Big onions
(ii) 6 cloves Garlic
(iii) 1 inch Ginger
(iv) Little Water
7 tbsp Dry chili paste
5 medium (530g) Tomatoes
80g Anchovies
3/4 cup Coconut milk
Salt to taste
1 tsp Coconut sugar/Brown sugar
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1/4 cup Water

Sides :
150g Peanuts
30g Anchovies
2 Cucumbers
5 Eggs

//Bahasa Melayu
Hidangan : 5 orang
Bahan-bahan untuk Nasi :
4 cawan Beras Basmati ( rendam selama 30 minit)
4 cawan Santan
2 cawan Air
2 helai Daun pandan
½ sudu kecil Halba
3 Bunga Cengkih
2 inchi Halia
1 batang Serai
1 ½ sudu kecil Garam

Bahan-bahan untuk Sambal Ikan Bilis:
Minyak
6 biji(400g) Bawang merah besar
2 batang Serai
1 helai Daun pandan
*Kisar halus bahan-bahan dibawah (i) hingga (iv) :
(i) 2 biji Bawang merah besar
(ii) 6 ulas Bawang putih
(iii) 1 inci Halia
(iv) Sedikit Air
7 sudu besar Sambal cili kering
5 biji sederhana (530g) Tomato
80g Ikan bilis
3/4 cawan Santan
Garam secukup rasa
1 sudu kecil Gula perang
2 sudu besar Jus lemon
1/4 cawan Air

Bahan tambahan:
150g Kacang tanah
30g Ikan bilis
2 Timun
5 biji Telur
