What technology allows us to be.

Immersive Virtual Reality, what in all likelihood will be the ultimate medium - once the technology is advanced enough to be indistinguishable from reality - will make us all Lords of Time.

Now, whatever this technology will be, we don't know at the moment. No, it almost certainly won't be anything like the headsets we use now. Not even glasses for advanced Augmented Reality. Not even contact lenses. No.

It will be something like a cochlear implant, or an EEG device, or maybe something even less invasive. Something that allows us to control time by taking advantage of passive moments of our daily routine, such as sleeping and dreaming.

This is what it will be: a remote device that will allow us to control dreams and live a Metaverse of shared dreams.

A Jungian dystopia for some, an Eldorado for others.
