Microsoft will use 'Humain Brain Waves' to mine crypto!

While the whole world is using tons of computational power to mine cryptocurrency, Microsoft thinks to use 'Human Brain Waves' to mine them!

On March 26, Microsoft filled a new patent application title 'Cryptocurrency System Using Body Activity Data', which describes how a person can mine crypto by just attaching various sensors to their body.

Although this concept sounds pretty strange, but it could be a new replacement for traditional bitcoin mining strategies! Microsoft claims that with this technique people can mine total unconsciously.

"Instead of massive computation work required by some conventional cryptocurrency systems, data generated based on the body activity of the user can be a proof-of-work, and therefore, a user can solve the computationally difficult problem unconsciously,"

The researchers of this project in Microsoft says,

"... Accordingly, certain exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure may reduce computational energy for the mining process as well as make the mining process faster."

By using brain wave or the heat emitted from a human body while doing tasks like watching ad or browsing internet, people can give an effort to the mining process. In that time the data generated based on the body activity of the user can be a proof-of-work. And by that a user can computationally solve difficult problem unconsciously. Afterall the only thing that mining requires is just solving mechanical problems!

The sensors that they are going to use includes MRI scanner, heat camera, heart rate, infrared sensors and several other devices.

Well, now it seems a very interesting way of earning or gaining any cryptocurrency, but the question is, is this really it??

There are various controversies like, who will be the people to wear these weird kind of thing?! If something goes wrong, will they remain safe?! Who knows!

One thing to be aware of, is that companies like Microsoft often comes up with many ideas and fills up a patent application for those. So that no one else can work on those ideas. But as we've seen in the past, many of these ideas turns out to be a failure. There's a really good chance that this concept could all amount to absolutely nothing. So currently we shouldn't be that much of excited about this. Just wait and see, what's coming in future!
