Stkr = Ankr

Currently Ankr’s most popular product, decentralized Eth2 staking is operated by Ankr under the name Stkr , which has caused some confusion in the markets . Some viewed Stkr as an independent company, or even as a separate token. However, this is not the case.

To be more clear on the connection between Ankr and the decentralized staking platform and protocol, we will operate it under the Ankr brand, as of today.

Needless to say, Ankr Staking will continue to provide the best-in-class staking services with instant liquidity, Micropools and the highest level of safety.

aETH, the Ankr Eth2 Reward Bearing Bond

The platform operates with two tokens:

• ANKR for governance
• aETH for staking liquidity (contract here)

aETH represents the staked ETH + staking rewards, which was initially issued at a ratio of 1:1 to the amount of ETH staked. Over time, aETH is expected to grow in ETH value, as it contains the principal stake plus earned staking rewards.

At the end of the staking period, when staked Eth2 becomes transferrable, which is expected to be somewhere in 2022, aETH holders can redeem their staked ETH plus staking rewards which are represented by the aETH bond.

Next up: Ankr website redesign

This change comes as part of a larger rebranding strategy. The blockchain industry is growing by leaps and bounds, so the time has come to strengthen the Ankr online branding strategy.

In the coming weeks, we will present a major update for the ankr.com website to improve user experience, turning the front page into a portal for all of the services we provide: DeFi staking, API services and node infrastructure.

Once the website update is live, it will reflect all the important new features.
